Forres is an ancient Royal Burgh of approximately 10000 people situated on the southern coast of the Moray Firth, some 25 miles east of Inverness. The town is ideally situated for tourists & holidaymakers who want a full range of activities on their doorstep. Within 25 miles of Forres you can water-ski or sail, snowboard or ski, climb mountains, fish for salmon and trout or sea bass and cod, play golf on any of the dozen or so courses and links, visit historic sites, sunbathe on beautiful sandy beaches, watch the dolphins in the Moray Firth, explore remote wildernesses...

There are very few places in Scotland that can offer such a diverse range of activities and claim to have one of the driest climates in the whole of the UK.

Let us not forget the food! The Laich of Moray has a reputation as the ‘Granary of Scotland’, it’s light and fertile soils produce exceptional seasonal vegetables and fruits, the majority of local meats are of ‘free range’ origins, the sea foods are fresh from local ports.

The town of Forres has so much to offer, and is well catered for in local health care and education. There are three primary schools and an Academy.

Situated on the main A96 trunk road from Inverness to Aberdeen, travel by coach or rail is well serviced. Inverness airport is approximately a 30 minute drive away.

The cathedral city of Elgin is approx. 8 miles to the East, and offers a variety of restaurants, leisure activities and shops.

The “Capital of the Highlands”, Inverness, 25 miles away is equipped with everything you would want and expect from a vibrant city.
